Not a bad suggestion, although 500K for an article seems excessive.

However, it seems like you're answering a question that hasn't been asked. Perhaps it is specifically related to something that is being considered, but I am not otherwise aware of any major gripes with team finances. I think the salary cap is about right (there should be no reason to change it right now), and, with the exception of the salaries for a few players, I don't think most players are being overpaid.

The better teams are naturally going to have more revenue, but also higher expenses than the lesser teams. As long as GMs manage their teams in a smart manner (i.e. not making stupid trades, and drafting well), you'll see the lower teams eventually surpass the current top teams.
