My CTS is really bad so I'll have to type this quickly and without re-checking it, so I hope this is coherent.

First off, I didn't mean for my post to come out as "This is fact, they didn't have sex, you are wrong." I realize my post is speculation too, and more importantly, my opinions on what happen. That was a post on why *I* didn't think they had sex. I'm just so used to the old crowd here who understand that my post were my opinions and speculations that I've gotten into the habit of not writing "These are just my opinions" or "This is what *I* think" on the top of my posts. Normally, this would be followed by Alison, Ammie, ali, Satsuki-chan, Maria, Shizuka, and Kerianne, coming in and pointing out holes and mistakes in my arguments and saying stuff like, "what about this" or "this is possible" if they disagreed with me (ali normally did.)

I didn't mean to come off as I am right and she wrong. Good grief, I'd be the first person who admit I'm normally wrong. Why do I shot off my mouth so often then? Like I said, I'm used to the old crowd who get into the discussion, no matter how ranty or bitchy or passionate I was, so there was nothing wrong with me mouthing me no matter how wrong I was because someone was bound to correct me. Hell, most discussions back then were ranty and bitchy and passionate (I was the worst though), none with disclaimer that it was an opinion or speculation. We all took it for granted that the other person knew that, and Alison remained vehement that S/S didn't have sex while other people remained vehement that they did and we all had a fun (yes fun) discussion. Of course we knew it was speculation. It wasn't going to stop us from hashing it out though, and we all remained friends.

That said, I did mean what I said when I wrote that Agent might want to separate what she cherish from what the characters did, but that mostly because her comment did come off to me as her saying, "well, I'm not a virgin so it be icky if Subaru was one." OK, not exactly like that, but her shudder following the idea of 25-year-old virgins seemed to imply it. I disagreed with that and argued that. I also argued against her other points, yes, they were my speculations and opinions, but that's how I argue.

My post was not me writing what was fact and what was right, but what my argument on why I didn't think S/S had sex, as well as me arguing against her points on why she thought they could have. I was arguing her points, not that the idea that she believed she could have. Hence, my points on sitcoms as a reply to her *general* idea, not anime idea, that relationships that intimate had to have sex. My whole post was an argument, one anyone could dispute or agree with if they wanted to. If it came off as anything more, I apologize, but it was argument, and nothing more.

Lastly, I have no never flamed a character to get a reaction. I bash characters because I don't like them, can't stand, or they annoy me. The comment was tongue-in-cheek, to point out that you'll get reactions if you bash someone's favorite characters. I have no problem with bashing characters. I just get miffed when people are surprised or offended when they do and supporters of said characters get ticked off.

But I see what you mean about AU, and the homosexuality issue in Japan, and I think you made some terrific points abut those and I'll keep those in mind.
