The wolfess followed up and up and up. Some loose pebbles gave way at the pressure of her touch, cascading all the way down from whence the two had come. An ear folded, fur bristling slightly at the sudden sound as she looked back upon the rocks that were now far away, crashing over leaf and snow. Frosted pufs of air exited her nostrils as she continued onward, bushy tail swaying gently behind as she went.
"Carachose..."
She tested the name, like she had so many other names in the past. Nodding, she smiled, voice spilling gently from her in careful incriments[sp?] to make the best use of her breath.
"I have traveled many mountians, but rarely have I known their names. This one, I like."
Reaching the two ledges, Letha watched the older wolf as he did just as he had advised. And of course, she followed Brechin's lead, leaping to the left and avoiding the right ledge. Once they were clear of that obsticle[sp?], Letha stopped a moment, looking back down through the dense forest that was now behind them. A simple comparison; a measure of distance to see what they had traveled and how far they had left to go. Chest heaved slightly with her breath, a small grin to herself. It felt good to be climbing this mountian.
Turning back around, she kept her smile, feeling her muscles work to pull her higher up, though the skies which graz had surely already passed. Though, it was hard to tell where he was or even had been. There was no trace of him anywhere.
