Leland:

I can't believe I am living in a time and place where the government recognizes homosexual marriage and where we spend $10,000 per public school child per year!

The liberals I think targeted Vermont because taking it over was easy due to its small population. Manipulating its agencies of State government has made the name "Vermont" synonymous in many areas of the nation with out-of-control depravity and taxes.

This in a State that was home to the "Green Mountain Boys" and so crucial in the American Revolution for liberty.

This in old Yankee New England - once home of the Pilgrims and Puritans.

For me life here is a nightmare. We may have a temporary reprieve with our new Republican Governour, but just wait until both State Houses & the Governour's Mansion are in democratic hands again!

I'm not a native of Vermont either. Most native Vermonters I have met are very conservative and religious. But the new wave of wealthy liberals washing into this State makes me very uneasy.

I wish I could say something encouraging about turning things around here, but with no firm control in the State Houses, the new Gov. isn't going to get much conservative legislation through.
