Date Posted: 01:31:18 04/19/04 Mon In reply to: sideline eye 's message, "Re: Is the Tooheys' Cup Dead?" on 23:58:19 04/18/04 Sun I automatically presumed that whatever criteria was layed down to Avondale could be met by the club. The big money the Greyhounds have spent has upset their rivals, but a lot of it had to do with proving they could make the step up. They have won six premierships in a row and the Dandy is now pumping money into Union and Soccer. Had have this money been channelled into league over the last couple of years, then the Greyhounds could have established a relationship with schools in the same way Uni have teamed with St Pius. I'd even go as far as to suggest they call themselves Avondale-Huntley to embrace the whole of West Dapto. Their publican has proved his commitment is not a flash in the pan, and that the Greyhounds would be in for the long haul. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
