hello peta, a year ago i purchased a sharpei from a lady in Gisbourne vic when i first got Dre that is my dogs name, she was very shy and she would never walk for me and she never liked new people coming near her she always coward away from them like they had hurt her. Dre had never been hit or kicked to my knowledge, she is like one of the family. Just recently Dre started to turn vicious towards my mothers dog who is a chihaua, Dre was brought up with the chihaua and never fought with her before. Also my mother brought a new pup and from day one Dre was after the pup he was a pomerainen, so we kept them away from each other. The little dogs were locked up behind a fence and somehow Dre managed to pull the new pup out and killed him. I was just wondering if this is normal Sharpei behaviour. I also wanted to know if this would mean that if i was to have her to breed would she kill her own puppies.
thanku Jaimee.
