The last day. I'm filled with mixed emotions. I'm nervous and excited about the new job, But I'm gonna miss the folks at Ford. The people there have almost become like family. The gals in the main office took such good care of me, Always covering my back when there was a mistake made instead of throwing me under the bus. If my tie was crooked or if it was showing beneath the collar in the back, They would fix it for me. If I was buried with stuff they would always bring me coffee, And if I was stressed out one of them would be kind enough to rub my neck and shoulders while I was at my desk. Whenever I had a problem with one of my cars, The guys in the shop would slip it right in and fix it without charging me a dime. The detail kids were great, Always pulling my car up to the front door whenever it was time for me to leave for the day, And always making sure it had a full tank of gas as well as detailing it for me whenever it got a little dirty. They did all that without ever being asked. As far as the sales crew and management was concerned, They treated me like a God. Whenever a green pea would begin a new career in show biz, And if I were to give them advice or tips on selling, They would hang on my every word. It's been a nice run at Ford. I just hope that I'll be able to find a groove half like that at Toyota.
