lakers aren't going to mortgage the future on a quick fix.

and realistically, is jason kidd going to be the player to win a title this year or next.

probably not.

and for those that'll say it'll make all the other lakers that much better, none of them will be there any more cause they'll be traded.

it'll be kobe and kidd and not much else.

now if the nets cave and you can get him for only expiring contracts and kwame brown then fine.

kidd, kobe, odom, bynum and walton/cook has a shot
