But P Yogananda changed the Kriya yoga of Lahiri Mahasaya so much that it is almost unrecognisable as being from Lahiri lineage.Yogananda insists that the Kriya Yoga taught at SRF is the Kriya of Lahiri,but most Kriya Yogis from the the Lahiri tradition don't seem to think so.Don't get me wrong I'm not questioning Yogananda's level as a yogi,but his Kriya is quite way out.
So I think its a bit rich to criticise Davis Walters et al when your own guru is perceived by many to have injected a lot of his own drastic innovations.The very existence of SRF,let alone its claim to exclusive rights to kriya is seen by most members of the Lahiri lineage to be out of line with the spirit of things started by Lahiri.
