The reason I bring this up is because I recall a person on this board sometime ago claiming that Yoganandaji changed the breathing from nose to mouth. This person was in contact with Priscilla and it was fairly clear that this information was given to him by Priscilla. I had assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that she probably learned this from Shibendu during on of his visits. I am sure that these posts could be found in the archives.

It seems clear that Lahiri Mahasaya taught many variations of Kriya. Some teachers come to the West and make a big deal of the fact that Yoganandaji altered Kriya and that they themselves have the "authentic" Kriya, but I don't feel at all certain that most of the teachers making these claims really do possess the "authentic" Kriya...or if even one authentic Kriya really exists. Who knows? There is a lot of confusion. What source can be trusted? This is the big downside to the popularity of Kriya - that many charlatans are coming out of the wood work and often making attacks against Paramahansa Yogananda's pioneering work to try to build up their own.
