You are right. Most of us would rather not participate in Social Security but we have no choice at this point. And, why wait until something is broke before you fix it. Some of us have been talking about Social Security for over 20 years. Those who are politizing this issue are the ones who do not what to do anythng that would cost them votes. President Bush is doing what he thinks is best for the people. As far as the government creating jobs, it can't do it. All the government can do is have policies that encourage business like cutting taxe on businesses and reducing regulations but you wouldn't like that would you.
The best way to improve education is to get the government out of it and we will depend on fossil fuels as long as it is the cheapest available and that will be for a long, long time.
