Well. looking at the marks, 2/4 couples doing back to back QS did better in the 2nd one, and all 4 couples doing back to back Jive did better in the 2nd one. I imagine being tired is compensated by such vague things as the judges having just seen you before etc.

Personally I find a 4 dance or 5 dance semifinal or final much more tiring.

I think I prefer it as it is... a 3 minute break to do nothing or a social dance in the middle of the jives would be very odd... but that's just because i'm used to the way it is now :). Guess i'm getting old!
