I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences and that your TC is so demanding. I’ve stayed at the host hotel at every SRO save one and the one that I didn’t stay there it was more hassle then it was worth. Sometimes you can hear others within the hotel but I’ve never had the screaming and crying you are talking about. It is most convenient when the vendors are in the hotel and you have hair, or makeup appointments because you don’t need to get up extra early to travel to the hotel. Yes the TCs want your child there to practice, but that’s because they want them to do the best…and if your child recalls you will be there all day anyway. Typically, unless your child is asking to stay to watch their friends dance there is time after recall dances and awards to go back to your room.
