New in 2023: 4-hand competition will be offered and will follow the age groups of Ceilis. This competition is open only to dancers who are NOT entered in an 8- hand ceili team. All teams must dance with the top couple standing to the left of the adjudicators. All dances must be performed through the completion of the 1st figure. Please note that any dancer who is entered in both an 8 hand and a 4 hand will risk disqualification of the entire team.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING, PER THE COMMUNICATION FROM IDTANA ON 2/16/2023 WITH CONFIRMATION OF Motion 11 that was passed at the 2022 IDTANA Convention:
Motion 11: That 4-hand competitions, girls and mixed (defined as at least 1 boy), be included in the NAIDC syllabus. Dnacers on a 4-hand team may not repeat on another 4- hand team nor can they compete on an 8-hand team
