Subject: Safeguarding Concern: Intimidation and Bullying Within Irish Dance Environment

Professional Ethics Statement (Irish Dance – Misconduct & Bullying / No Retaliation)
I am submitting this report to the Irish Dance Ethics Committee to formally address concerns regarding misconduct and bullying that have occurred within the school environment. This report is being made in good faith and with sincere concern for dancer welfare, professionalism, and the overall integrity of Irish Dance.
The behaviors at issue have created an environment that is neither safe nor appropriate for dancers—particularly children—and do not align with the standards of conduct outlined by CLRG and regional safeguarding policies. Families should never have to fear intimidation, exclusion, humiliation, or unequal treatment as a result of speaking up or seeking support.
I want to clearly state that this report is being filed with the full expectation that there will be no retaliation, negative treatment, or adverse consequences toward my dancer, our family, or anyone associated with us. Retaliation—whether overt or subtle—would directly violate safeguarding protocols, undermine the purpose of this reporting process, and discourage others from coming forward about serious issues affecting dancers.
I request that this report be reviewed impartially, confidentially, and with appropriate urgency to ensure that all dancers are protected and that the professional standards of Irish Dance instruction are upheld.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and ethical environment for all dancers.
Never allow bullying from a teacher or a parent. Report Report Report! Shut those schools down.
