Sadly, many parents are afraid to speak up out of fear of retaliation. What’s truly troubling is that their children’s well-being seems to come second to protecting the status quo instead of standing up for what is right. There are a few teachers in the southern region who have demonstrated abusive behavior. I have been told repeatedly that these issues would be addressed, yet when they do come to light, it is often through the child—not the parent.
If CLRG genuinely cared, they would interview the children / parent who have left these schools. Failing to do so undermines their credibility as a professional organization and calls into question whether they provide a safe environment for children to participate.
