Yes, i know what you mean kathy. i feel the same way as you do. It seems the people of the US are just having a wait n see attitude, thats what all the poles seem to suggest. or at least thats what the local news tells us, that the polls show that the people are saying they will support the war if the are WMD discovered in Saddams playpen.

It seems to me that that is exactly what Bush wants, for people to have that attitude so he can manufacture something to justify going to war.
And all the other things you mentioned, the Republican agenda. it is the most blatent show of disregard for the have-not-much's of the US and of the world.

I have wrote letters and faxes and signed petitions on the net and marched in antiwar rallies, but it sure as hell don't seem like he has an ear for what he doesn't want to hear.

it does seem like his agenda is the takeover of Iraq. i heard on the radio yesterday from some top notch security anaylis that that would be in the best interest of the US, ie, to occupy Iraq for an extended period of time ...and blah blah blah. I didn't hear the rest cuz i was seething.

But he did indicate that from a perspective of what is the best possible course of action, that that is the most likely scenario.

And yes, i agree with you that all thats gonna do is have the world even more pissed at us.
O'BTW.. the russians also reported that the US would be attacking by mid febuary, and they're no slouches in the espionage business.
