Subject: Bad News from the Doctor today :( Author: Donna [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 22:47:47 12/11/02 Wed OK I had my antenatal appointment today and things are not good :0( My blood pressure is ridiculosly out of control and I have protein in my urine. I have also been shown to only have 50% kidney function right now. They have told me that next visit they will be starting me on meds to lower the blood pressure (if they can)and that they are looking at now inducing Alanah at 36 - 37 weeks gestation. They said that fi they have to induce that ealry for my health that I will be given steriods to enhance her lung development and she should be fine.... I now have to go to the doctors office every alternate week and they will do the full works bloods, urine check etc etc etc....and they want me to check in at the ER if I have even a headache that needs a paracetamol! We also have been told that they are 100% sure that if I had another baby my kidneys will completely shut down so this will definately be our last (they are talking about doing a historectomy to ensure my health)...
