 Last Fri when I discovered (and boy do I feel silly) that I *do* have elastic ties on my clear brackets (top front only) my Ortho also pointed out that my canine's have metal ties because they are stronger - and the canine's are a bit more difficult to move. I never noticed before (obviously) so it didn't matter to me. I do know that she told me at the very start that the clear brackets would take a little longer to work, but she didn't charge me more for them. I think if you are given a quote, no matter how long you have to wear them, the rate shouldn't change that drastically, should it?
