 Thanks for your response, drrick. Other than having good grades, DAT score, letters of rec, etc., what can I do to make my application stand out? I lack community service experience but have a lot of experience in clinical diagnostics R&D. Also, I was thinking about asking my ortho (who also teaches in UCSF Dental School) for a letter of recommendation. He doesn't know me beyond our patient/doctor relationship. Would that be rude?
