>What so strange about that? It’s not very exceptional
>to have a relationship and not live together.

You’re mixing up two different situations here: a guest marriage or a partnership, when a couple
meets each other regularly and a pregnant woman left alone by the father of her future child
when there is no partnership at all. Living in a guest marriage you ain't lonely! You have a nice,
romantic relationship, free from everyday cares, each date is a holiday. But this sort of relation
doesn’t fit to a family with children, when the woman needs all the help and moral support,
especially on her last months of pregnancy and when her child is just born.

The
>Immigration authorities barred Hans-Gerhardt Fischer
>from entering the U.S.A. That must have been a
>difficult situation for Regina.

Sorry, but this fact is clearly false. Regina was an American citizen and she and
Gerhardt were officially married. The emigration authorities can't have barred him from entering
the USA, because a wedded spouse of an American citizen automatically gets the right to live in
the USA as a family member. Moreover, such a person can be naturalized after 3 years of staying
in the USA while an ordinary emigrant is allowed to get American citizenship only after 5 years.

>That’s maybe a stronger argument but I’m not an
>expert. I even don’t see anything Jewish in
>Fischer’s appearance.

It is because you ain't an expert. :-)

That reminds me of something
>else. At a certain time there were rumours that
>Kasparov’s mother was Jewish. I don't know if it's
>true but it shows how important it is to claim a chess
>world champion to your own group.

Not true. Gazza's background is quite clear: Clara Kasparova, the Armenian mom and Kim
Weinstein, the Jewish dad. Clara's features are very typical for her race.

>Just imagine the situation: A mother alone and she
>tells everybody: My husband is not allowed to enter
>the USA. That’s a simple clear-cut story and people
>like clear-cut stories.

Not real. See my comment above.

But now Regina gets a relation
>with Paul Nemenyi and she even gets pregnant. Apart
>from marrying Paul Nemenyi the easiest solution is to
>stick to the simple story: My husband is not allowed
>to enter the USA.

But the simple story was that her husband had left the USA when his son was two and escaped
from paying the alimony.

>Could you please explain why that is relevant?

Just interesting. The authors called Jack(Jankel) Wender a Polish dress-cutter while his
daughter was born in Zurich. Hence Zurich must be a Polish city.

>When you are busy with chess doing the dishes is an
>insult.

And when you're busy with maths, physics, chemistry, history, languages? Well, during family
quarrels my granny always remembered the period when my dad had to live at home alone for
some time working at his thesis and how he put all the dirty plates and saucepans in the fridge
not to wash them.

But think yourself, Peter: when somebody never eats at home (and never cooks), from where can
he get dirty dishes? My only guess is that Fischer fetched them from the restaurants he visited.

I remember Jan Timman (he is also born in
>1951, like Karpov and me!) in 1968 on the Dutch
>television. His room was even dirtier then mine.

Feel the difference, please: You saw Timman's room on TV with your own eyes. My granny saw
those plates and saucepans in the fridge with her own eyes (maybe me too, but I don't remember
because I was only three years old at the time). Darrach can't have seen Fischers’ apartment in
1960 because he met Fischer in 1971. So his description is not real.

>We have to make up our own miind
>and for me, based on everything I know, it's more then
>likely that Nemenyi is Fischer's father.

Yeah, according to the article, that is true. But what to do with all these unclear details?
