Subject: Bill O'Reilly on David Letterman

Did anyone see the interview Letterman did with O'Reilly on Tuesday's Lateshow? If not, I'm sure clips will be turning up on the Today Show, Good Morning America, etc.

Now I know I differ in political views with some on this board, but politics aside... that segment had to be the most dismissive, disrespectful and downright rude I've EVER seen Letterman act.

It was so completely out of character for him, and so appalling that I don't believe I can even look at Letterman the same way again.

Maybe I'm being too dramatic, but I really don't think so. I understand that O'Reilly is an opinionated and polarizing figure, but he in no way deserved to be met with such utter contempt, especially after Letterman admitted that all he knew of O'Reilly was what he read in the paper (since he had never seen his show).

To O'Reilly's credit, he remained respectful of Letterman the entire time.

I'm curious as to what you guys think. Just for the record, I'm not some O'Reilly super-fan. I do watch his show from time to time, but I find myself disagreeing with him often.
