So, the county commission didn't have the necessary votes to push forward the bible park fiasco. Turns out a couple of "yes" votes were absent, and so they wouldn't have the 2/3 majority they needed for the privilege tax.

For those of you that may not know, for this tax issue to pass, it needs to have 2/3 vote in 3 consecutive meetings.

Anyway, in one of the worst acts of playing politics, rather then adjourn the meeting, they "recessed" the meeting. The meeting will resume 15 minutes before the next meeting. So now, when the meeting resumes, they will be able to get their votes, then turn around and start the next meeting a couple minutes later, and get their votes again, knocking off 2 of the 3 consecutive meetings required in a matter of minutes.

I don't care whether you're for or against the privilege tax, this is pure political cow dung.
