The newsletter is late getting out, I believe, but the info was supposed to be in there I believe. It was proposed last HOA meeting that we hire MJPD to patrol the common area and turn the lights back on, especially for the Tennis courts, and see how it goes. I knew that turning them off and doing nothing else isn't the answer, as the darkness just lends itself to people doing things they shouldn't be doing. So we wanted to try turning them on again, allowing Tennis after hours, and see how it goes.
I can guess though, that if the awful behavior erupts again, something more drastic will be proposed. We have had a few nights last month that were a challenge, but it appears that things have calmed down, partially (or totally) due to MJPD being on site.
I would like to keep the lights on until 11pm. I would like to allow residents to play in our park, until 11pm. I do not want, however, maniacs running naked through the park, shooting fireworks at homes surrounding the area, throwing fire crackers at and under passing cars. I do not want to hear the thump of someone’s stereo in the park after 9pm... and certainly not at 11pm.
I am a HOA board member to represent what you want done.
What do you want done? Post it here, send me a note directly. What needs to be done?

We are trying something. Not sure if it will work, but we are trying. I hope that info helps.
