's message, "Re: Waht can I say in respons to your post Sabre?Rights issue" on 05:03:30 02/07/03 Fri Subject to everything going well with the restructure and ultimately the rights issue being completed, 50 million will be being raised.ERG will then be substantially debt free (not completely) and this money will flow into financing and investing activities in the statement of cash flows reconciled to the balance sheet. The company will then have strengthened itself. It will then be in a stronger financial position in order to leverage itself worldwide, re the opportunities emerging with smartcards. The U.S. Government for instance is spending approximately 200 billion dollars over a period to upgrade the entire United States transit sector, some of this money has been allocated to new technology such as electronic ticketing systems.Important to remember with the court action, that both sides have stated, they are not ready on the 6/2/2003 to proceed and for that reason it has been vacated to the 6/3/2003, these dates are important. It may demonstrate (view) to the market that something is going on in relation to the Sydney contract. The State Liberal Party website has appearing on the 4/2/2003 an article mentioning electronic tolling and their plans to introduce a system that allows no-stop tolling with proven technology and has been operating successfully on Melbourne’s City Link motorway for several years.A Liberal/National Coalition Government will dramatically cut travel times on Sydney’s motorways by requiring all tollways to be fully automated by January 1, 2005, Mr Brogden said a Coalition Government would remove all tollbooths, ensuring toll collection in Sydney is conducted electronically and without the need for motorists to slow down.Opposition Leader John Brogden announced. Additional to this a couple of mentions on news services, nightly news etc here in Sydney over the last couple of weeks or so. When the Cross City Tunnel is opened in 2004 it will be exclusively--source "Making the right choices for Sydney." State Government PDF file.ERG's alliance agreement with Transurban in May of 2001 to develop joint technologies for tolling was demonstrated recently with the launch of e-tag on the 20/1/2003 mention of which was made in the Sydney Morning Herald on the 18/1/2003, something like 850.000 e-tags have been distributed and it allows for use not only in Melbourne additional to that the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Tunnel, also Queensland Motorways, this in a view expressed would be on the Proton side of things with the technology being provided by Combitech of Sweden (owned by Volvo) Ulf Wassdahl Managing Director, ERG Transit Systems (Scandinavia) joined ERG in 1989 to form AES Scandinavia, later AES Prodata (Scandinavia), now ERG Transit Systems (Scandinavia). Ulf Wassdahl's background is in the card industry, having worked for the biggest Scandinavian card manufacturer, ID Kort, as Marketing and Sales Manager in its card systems division. Prior to this, Ulf worked in the consumer goods industry for the internationally Agfa-Gevaert group.ERG bought Proton World International,March 15th 2002 the owner of the Proton smart card payment and security technology. AP Trans SA (www.aptrans.com) develops and maintains software on vehicle embedded systems for public transport and has been the supplier for Västtrafik and ERG Transit System in Belgium (formerly AES Prodata) for several years. AP Trans is primarily an Integration Provider supporting Automatic Systems and ERG Transit Systems - two associate partners which are involved in very large supply and outsourcing of smart card and transport contracts, respectively, all over the world.ERG have been supplying Sweden for 15 years, while on the subject of Sweden, on the transit side it was stated on the 27/1/2001 ERG had won a 40 million contract to install and operate an integrated smart card fare collection system in Gothenburg, Sweden. full implementation to be completed by January 2003. Sean Duffy confirms that ERG (phone convo) have submitted the paperwork and are waiting to hear back, further the government can proceed without the outcome of the court being known if it so chooses with ERG.
