I sure hope Target used the time at the end of last year, when they were holding off rolling out new terminals because of the holidays, to sign up some more partners. Say like... General Mills -- a major source for food related coupons
I'm not sure why they would partner with Carlson Marketing (i.e. Radisson Hotels, www.goldpoints.com, etc.) or Northwest Airlines...maybe PQ could help us out here?

It's interesting to note that all these companies are also Minnesota based. It seems that Target is very aware that a poorly planned coalition could negate any first mover advantage. While the time required to build a strong coalition is not good for the nerves of Catuity shareholders, it does improve the outlook for a successful rollout and one where many cardholders would activate the Catuity software.

p.s. All the Target stores in Minnesota still do not have the new IBM terminals installed but that is slowly changing. But they do have an interesting kiosk in the front of the stores...
