The China market creates a critical mass for companies, as any company executives would tell you when they enter the China market. But the investment soon ends up as a critical financial mess. Most company’s executives enter in the China market just for the fun of their own personal life. Can anyone name me a company outside the agricultural, mining and airline industry (these industries tend to have fixed protocols in business dealing and are less likely to be manipulated) that has made big money from the China market?
I can name you companies that play the China card and have failed miserably – Forsters Brewery for sure and NewTel. Although I cannot name more, I can assure you that there are hundreds more that have failed.

When a company enters the China market and proclaims the China market potential, it is time to say goodbye to the company shares, because company executives will be using the shareholder money to pay for their honeymoon in China.

I am glad that ERG has never play the China card. I always agree with ERG management on their business strategy. It is their financial management ability, which I now realise, must be looked at with great skepticism.
