The writedowns that ERG recently did are a reflection of a prior reporting period---and will not be there next time the entit reports in March.
The next time the entity reports it will be for the period June 30th 2002 to December 31st 2002.
The writedowns just make for a good headline in the paper--they in no way affect the operating (accountancy term in bold) ability of the entity.
