So I took the motor out saturday night and dropped it off at the engine builders shop yesterday, and luckily it was just a headgasket. So hopefully I get the motor back by the weekend and get it in.   • I hear ya!Your frame is narrower than mine.I don't think they make BBC headers for them,only fenderwell type.I've got a mid plate on it which helps make it tougher.The starter goes on first,then slide the headers in as it drops,then my extendable engine crane still doesn't extend quite far enough because of the long Monte nose,and the road is crowned & the motor wants to drop level so the dowels miss the mid plate by an inch on one side.yada yada yada! • I've got the front end apart now. The headers aren't too bad except for the large dent on the #2 tube on the bottom. The black rubber/traction compound came off with Acetone. Looks like it's gonna need new shocks and I might replace the a-arms as well. • Jim, put a good electric water pump on there and you won't overheat it anymore with a thrown belt. I'm pretty anal about pulley alignment as well as making sure the accessory mounts are sturdy to eliminate flex and keep the belts short if you can. good luck -- 10secBu, 15:14:53 06/29/09 Mon

  • I can understand how that can upset you but with looking forward with the rest of the days schedule ahead, they may of felt it necessary to get those cars down and back to the pits and cooling for their next round to be on time and make that curfew. I am sure it wasnt done to personally piss anyone off and I am pretty sure it was just the one time. But if take the general atmosphere over the entire day I hope you can see that I really tried to oblige everyone and everybody's needs. • Rich I want to thank you for having us at your event. I wanted to give you my opinion on the day. I am not sure but there was no way to get 6 or more passes in when you started everything at 10:15. I ran everytime called untill 3:00 pm and got 3 passes...with the last one delayed for one of your groups. I am not asking for anything just wanted to let you know this for the future. • Ok guys I have recieved a few calls which tells me that I am very bad at explaining things in print. Before anyone else panics let me explain further. We operate a structured racing event and because of having some classes larger than others they will be called up 1 at a time and will fill the lanes across in order as we go. As the lanes become open the rest of the classes are called up untill we get thru the entire round of cars. Every time you see a qualifier or elimination round you will be called to the lanes in the running order listed, so tnt guys listen for your call you will be following PRO N/A. Which will give you a minimum of 6 passes thruought the day. There will be a good chance of a larger car count of AMI cars that will need to go round robbing once or twice that day and if they do we will be calling you up to run with them as etra passes for you, so you may get up to 8 passes.
