    With the amount of rain we have already received and expecting another 1.5" or so this evening/tonight the track will need to be completely scraped. That operation takes almost an entire day to complete. Getting the track back into a safe raceable state would take even longer. Considering that and the fact that very few people have been able to test prior to this weekend, we have decided to cancel the April 1st Strange Engineering Outlaw Street Car Shootout. We are very disappointed to make this call but we always make the safety of our racers, fans and employees first priority. So now everyone has another month to get their cars ready for the May race which will include Pro Mod cars and is a 2 day event with a Pro qualifying session Friday night.

  • Driveshaft Shop in Harfordish? -- PBC, 19:39:22 03/28/17 Tue
    Looking to get a driveshaft cut, but there's a catch. Its currently a 3 piece with a pair of carrier bearings. Putting it in a short import car with a short tire so its gonna spin fast, I'd like to have the front segments cut and combined into one piece. Its got one of those funky ball and socket type joints for the joint I am keeping, so I've got no idea how to measure something like that for length. I'd love to just take the car to somebody so they can see what I'm working with, chop it, weld it, put the new U joints in and be done. Anybody got a favorite?

    TO ALL STRANGE ENGINEERING OUTLAW STREET CAR SHOOTOUT RACERS AND FANS

    REF: May 6th and 7th Strange Engineering Outlaw Street Car Shootout RESCHEDULED

    With the forecast of 100% chance of rain on Friday & Friday night, the forecast of 50-60% chance of showers on Saturday, Mother's Day on Sunday and the time it would take to properly scrape and prepare the race track following this week's extremely wet weather, we have decided to postpone the Strange Engineering Outlaw Street Car Shootout until next Saturday May 14th. The Pro Mod portion of the event will be CANCELLED due to a scheduling conflict that can't be changed. The race will be a "normal" Saturday only race. The race schedule for Friday May 13th & Saturday May 14th is as follows:

    Friday May 13th Pro Testing- Gates open 9am, Pro Testing 10am until 5pm

    Friday Night "street night" and Tri State Street Car Challenge 6pm until 10:30pm

    Saturday May 14th Strange Engineering Outlaw Street Car Shootout
    Gates open 8am
    Sportsman Qualifying at 10am - 2 Qualifying runs per class
    Pro Qualifying at Noon - 2 Qualifying runs per class
    Eliminations to follow Qualifying

    For the Index Racers that were planning on going to Atco Dragway next weekend for the NHRA Division One National Open Series we have worked it out with Atco and NHRA to allow all Index racers a qualifying run on Sunday morning May 15th followed by eliminations. Race at Cecil on Saturday and Atco on Sunday!

    We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone but the SAFETY of our racers and fans is our first priority and we feel this is the best way to keep that priority in order!

    We wanted to get this out as soon as possible in order to not cause anyone unnecessary traveling so PLEASE PASS THE WORD.

    Hope to see everyone next weekend.

  • By now most of you know that Frank hit the wall Friday night in his 67 Nova Wagon at Cecil. Frank is very lucky and walked unharmed.He's a little sore and beat up,but he'll be fine.     I have a 1991 mustang. I was in a accident last week and threw the rear end towards the driver side. bent axle shaft and couple control arms. got new parts and as I went to reassemble the car it was discovered the flange on axle housing may be bent and the control arms will not line up with the bolt holes on the housing. is there someone that can come look at the car and possibly point me in a direction on how to fix this or if it needs a full backhalf and if it comes down to that point me in a direction on who could do it.     This is a complete short block (less pan and pump) with a Bullet hydraulic roller camshaft installed. A machined 2-bolt block (former marine use) and new internals; Scat cast crank, Scat I-beam rods, custom Diamond pistons (had to be custom due to the deck being .020" lower than we wanted because of poor prior machine work), ARP main studs, King HP bearings, Durabond performance cam bearings, Hastings ductile moly rings, SA-Gear roller timing set, Manley cam bolts and lock, Fel-Pro rear seal, Fel-Pro timing cover gaskets. The rotating assembly is balanced and camshaft is degreed.
