Ducking ever so slightly from her hand at first, a little uneasy with the silent communication phenomenon, he swiveled attentive ears as the woman scratched his forehead. A little startling, this telepathy thing! Who would have expected? Most humans relied on other methods to communicate with their equine partners and this was a new experience for the gelding. But a soft scratch between the ears went a long way in soothing ruffled nerves and it was not long before the fidgety bay had settled down beneath her hand and offered back a timid reply. I'm fine... I... Is this my new home?
