"Well, I guess I now know where you’re coming from. Darwin’s theory of evolution was the root of today’s evil. The theory of evolution creates mass murderers. Everything was peachy until Darwin came along. And non-christians, and all those false christians are going to hell."
Darwin is not the root of today's evil. Satan has been the root of evil from the beginning, so no, things were not peachy before Darwin. Evolution has been a theory for a long time, but it was Darwin who popularized it, so to speak. The alluring facet of evolution is that those who believe in it do not have to answer to a higher authority, namely God. Therefore, the Ten Commandments are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. That being the case, it's okay if I murder, or steal, or commit adultery, use God's name in vain, or sin like crazy just as long as the authorities don't catch me.

"That’s really too lame to address."
I just addressed it, and I believe it's very important to do that so that we can see that the morals of American society will continue to crumble the more God is removed from our society.

"By the way, the last pope admitted what everyone already knew: The church was aware of what was happening in the 20’s 30’s and 40’s, and chose to ”look the other way”. He was very sorry about that."
Thank you for letting me know. My expertise is in 16th-18th century Canadian history which obviously doesn't cover a whole lot of World War II.

"That the christian churches brought about the inquisitions is documented well enough for me, I don’t need to redo the research. The bible project was supervised by the same people who were running the inquisition, and destroying records of their daily activities was commonplace. History is full of accounts written by the victors, and the christian church’s cruelty and ruthlessness made them the clear victors of the day."
The "Bible Project"? The books of the Bible were not all written during the Inquisition, especially by some hangman who would jot down a few verses at a time in between torturing peasants. I think we can agree that the church was not and is not perfect. But I don't let that reflect on God. It reflects on man. That's why I worship God, not man.

" “Almost” means: ... there’s room for one God ..."
I'm reading between the lines and still seeing that glint of hope. :)

"I’m glad you think I have such good christian ethics, too bad most christians don’t."
Unfortunately you have a bad taste in your mouth for Christians, so you use the term "Christian" as more of a label. I cannot speak for you personally because I do not know what experiences you've had in your life, but you appear to be using the term "Christian" on a near-racist or stereotypical level. You need to realize that all people are sinners, and some commit more sin than others, regardless of their religion. When someone gives their life to God, they don't suddenly become converted into ultra-conservative, crackpot, hypocritical activists. My views are conservative based on the Bible, but I'm not about to go out and bomb an abortion clinic. Don't let the actions of men throughout history and in present day close your mind. There are so many good people out there who live for the Lord. I pray that you'll come into contact with some of these people who can teach you, probably without your immediate realization, about your creator.

"I had a conversation with a very old friend of mine who’s a christian pastor a while back on just that subject"
I do not like the answers that pastor gave, and suggest that you accept his answers as just one man's answers. It angers me when the church takes measures into its own hands like denying communion to gay people, because that does not follow the teachings of Jesus. People living gay lifestyles are God's children, too, and should not be denied His word. Although history is ravaged with stories of persecution, Jesus does not advocate persecution of others. We are to love one another, and the way to bring people to the word of God is not through force or diminishing one's rights. It's best done through patience and perserverance.
