Well... ahem. I've been very busy lately... cos got this TKGS NPCC reunion campfire I'm helping to organise.... of course certain people would know about it.... mentioning names like Syikin and Faezah would be rude... so I won't.
By the way, Audrey, your pics are waaay too large! Can send me smaller files please? I know you have super powerful few gazillion megapixel digital camera... but if it gets TOO CLEAR... I can just imagine how it's going to be like for the next "Write The Caption To Audrey's Digital Pic".... if our classmates starts getting too *creative* with very detailed captions... ! Heehee...
Anyway..... nice to hear from SM... I was kinda expecting to see you missing till next year at least... I am so glad that you managed to get an internet connection from Nepal. It will be absolutely great to know the details of what's happening during your 6 -week sabbatical! DO TELL! And share the experience!
And dear dear Angeline....! I am soooo glad to see you here on this board! Please come visit and post REGULARLY please...! We were beginning to wonder what happened to you. Almost had to put your picture on the HL milk carton... Enjoy the cheerleading... hope it bring backs the beautiful memories of the times when we the class of 3/3 were busy with ours!
As for me, I'll be leaving for Brunei tomorrow for my two-weeks Outward Bound course... DEFINITELY won't be so lucky as to get an internet connection.... no phone-calls will even be allowed...!
Ah well. Wish me the best. Thick tropical Brunei jungle beckoning... hope the anti-malaria pills will work.
And Fardy... do send my regards to our classmates at the 2/2 class gathering! Hope you all enjoy yourselves...!
And of course, almost forgot..... if you have been following what's on this messageboard regularly... you would have noticed about the now-over 50th Anniversary celebrations... well... I was kinda surfing around and I saw this... believe it or not I couldn't save it to my hard drive! I'm sure it was all part of the plan so that these pictures will not be distributed all over the Internet by some wicked ex-TKGian with a dastardly evil plan (like yours truly) to let all her classmates know how.... *ahem* young the teachers once looked...

hey guys! finally found the add for this website... haha... i'm in nepal now! doing volunteer work for 6 works.. well actually volunterring for 3 weeks cos first week is language classes and 2nd week village stay and jungle walks in the national park! then i'll be going for a 11 day trek so there will be snow! yay! haha... for my volunteer work i'll be going to do conservation work in one of the villages.. planting, digging, building and stuff... will be staying with a host family there as well so i'll try to learn how to cook and experience their way of life!
food's here is basically dhalbat.. whicch is lentil curry, rice and vegetables.. doesn't sound too bad but what if i told you the people here eat it twice a day, every day? =P for now i've staying in the hostel and the cook (the funniest most adorable guy in the world) knows how to cook some indian and western food as well so we've been having that... i shouldn't expect to see any of that in the village though =P i'm more of a meat person but strangely enough.. dhalbat is really growing on me.. sometimes i think i'll really miss it when i go back....
anyways, today is the last day at the hostel and i think i'll really miss it cos we're having so much fun there! ours is a small group and all of us are from different countries.. sg, holland, germany canada and australia. haha... and of course the cook kanchha... we're always laughing and playing tricks on each other.. the nepali language classes are also quite fun and it's nice to be able to understand a little of it.. we had a test.. well, if you can consider that as a test cos the teacher showed us a copy of the test paper a day before and we copied it onto our books and just studied from it.. haha...
the nepali pple are really nice and friendly.. everywhere you go on the streets, kids are always shouting out to you 'hello!' or 'namaste!' which is hello in nepali.. and evne the adults.. they're smile at you and say hi.. time's really flexible here as well.. you just do things at your own pace... it's so different to what we're used to! love it though... =)
and well.. hygiene here is not exactly the best.. the water coming out of the shower and taps in the hostel are just a little yellowish but.. haha.. i expect it'll be worse and we've heard from another volunteer that it will be worse in the village.. you wouldn;t be bathing cos the water is slimy and you have spiders coming out of it.. haha... so i guess i can't really wash myself for 3 days now.. and the water is really cold as well... i;ve been having cold showers and it's freezing cold showers.. i'm guessing it's cos i'm always the first to bath in the morning and for some reason, pple bathing after me are always having warm showers.. haha.. so my resolution for today is to bath after someone else.. and one of the staff was saying that it's better to bath in the afternoon cos they use solar power to heat the water or sthing..
ok then.. guess i have to go now.. i'm actually waiting for my 'instant' passport photos which is taking 1 and a half hrs to develop but then again, it's only 80 rupees which is S$2... haha.. everything's so cheap hre... can't wait to shop!

Old girls turned teachers at Tg Katong Girls
The Straits Times, 24th Nov 2003
ONE in four of the female teachers at Tanjong Katong Girls School is an old girl.
Eight had such a good time at the school as students, they asked to be sent there when they got their diplomas. Eight others were posted there by coincidence.
The longest-serving old girl among them is Mrs Marilyn Chia, 48, the head of the humanities department. She started there in 1978, five years after she did her A-levels.
'I was happy to come back and contribute,' said the mother of three and former prefect, who was posted to the school.
Two of its youngest teachers - literature teacher Angeline Ang, 24, and biology teacher Zakiyah Jamil, 26 - are alumni too.
'It was quite strange at first having many of my literature teachers as colleagues, especially since they recognised me as their student,' said Miss Ang.
'Our subject head for English literature still refers to me as her student,' she added.
The school, which was the second government one to be built, turned 50 on Jan 12.
Originally located in Tanjong Katong Road, it moved to its current premises - a stone's throw away in Dunman Lane - in 1995.
In the past five decades, cramped classrooms and a small library have given way to large, airy, IT-enabled spaces. There is a drama studio, gymnasium and tennis court too.
Tanjong Katong has also earned a reputation for its choral and performing arts.
This year, its symphonic band, string ensemble, choir and modern dance troupe won gold medals at the Singapore Youth Festival.
The school will mark its golden anniversary with a gala dinner and dance at Swissotel The Stamford on Dec 5 at 7.30pm.
It will cost alumni $68 each, others $88.

cant help it if i have only one beautiful scene to show haha. or mebbe i aint showing all? how's exams everyone? hope everyone is doing great! am sure the NTU pple are anyway, since the exams are over. it is exceedingly cold in london. i dun even have to open my mouth to billow smoke now! abt 2-3 degrees when the wind blows. even when my heater is on at full blast, i still shiver in cold. or my toes do anyway.
anyway am pretty buried by work now tho. alot of work i wanna clear b4 i go for my holiday! haha yes yes i am gg for holiday. in case i din tell you all where im gg this dec, i will be gg to barcelona, milan, paris and stockholm. will be freezing my butt off during xmas in sweden, but hey at least im guaranteed a white xmas, unlike if i stay in london.
oh ya! and pls go and watch love, actually. it is extrememly good. i watched it last night with my fren who just broke up with her bf. it was really uplifting and rassuring to her at least. and the movie is very well crafted. of course, i got to see the movie uncut la. dunno abt singapore tho. they mite make it ra? or mabbe cut out one entire love story, which is not good, but too bad haha!
ok will send aidah more photos of scenery. but then i have no guarantee tt they are nice looking ones. and no ang moh ones anyway. i dun do ang mohs haha.and dun get the worng idea abt the others, if aidah does post it online. i am still very much almost a swinging single and enjoying it as well haha.

anyway, 2 of my papers were over in the first 2 days of the exams... now i have a 11 day break before the 3rd paper then another week off before the last paper... argh.... thought that would be quite good but nowadays, i'm just soooo lazyy! i have been lying around the house eating and watching tv...
the semester seems to have passed by so quickly... 2 more weeks and it's the end!! hmm... is it hot in singapore? not looking forward to the weather too much... haha.. miss the food though!

Most students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's

First, we must postulate that if souls exist, they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls also must have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it does not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for souls entering Hell, let's look at the different
religions that exist in the world today. Some religions say that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than

hey all
allow me to illustrate how inefficient uk is
ive been here a mth and i applied for a natwest bank a/c... i waited and waited and waited and nothng came so i opened with unreasonable hsbc instead. then natwest sent me a cheque book, when i wasnt supposed to get one, with no debit card no nothing..... crazy one......
and when i tried ot get a mobile phone, they say cannot. for vodafone need credit card, must be british one ( they think they so good) then for 02 must have a switch card, i have a solo so cannot . so i scolded the guy upside down and i doubt he knew what i was saying cuz hios eng was so bad..... i think he was an illegal immigrant from china. hjow the hell did he get his employment pass man?
anyway on to something better... my dec travel plans... ta da!
travelling here is really cheap... i will be going to 5 countries at the cost of 106 quid which is abt 318 sing, which will only take us to the most bangkok for 4 days.
here it goes, london-barcelona, barcelona-milan, milan-paris, paris-stockholm, stockholm-london.... which means i will def have a white xmas this yr! since it never snows in london anyway....sweden is close enough to reindeer land... adn guess how mcuh the london-barcelona tix cost me?
ONE PENNY.... crazy rite..... in uk, if u knw when u want to go alr, as in the specific date u can get things damn cheap when u travel..... so good la... then can budget youth hostels and everything.... i will send aidah photos when i go
oh ya for all mango die hard fans, mango is super cheap in spain...for eg, a full length trench coat, which will set u back by abt 200 sing, can go for as high as 20 euros, which is abt 40 sing.... hope zara is cheap too man!

Finally after 5 weeks of school, I actually thought of something to post today! By the way, did you all realize that about a week ago, the number of views this page received hit 3000!
Yes it was that MANY! But there are less than 300 messages here! Sigh..... how come you all always come by...but never post?
I really should put a counter here at this board. Then you realize how many times 4/3 people actually visit the messageboard.
The subject of my message today is:
How Aidah Went Crazy/Berserk/Raving Lunatic During The 2nd Week of School: Causes & Effects
I am sure many of you have read my infamous post a few messages below. The grammatical errors, the short forms and the lack of proper paragraphing was very glaring indeed.
Well first of all, the emotions at that moment of the posting of the message had been triggered by Audrey's announcement of her imminent departure for overseas studies. Oh yes Audrey, at that moment I was the one who felt like some sort of loser stuck in S'pore. LOL!
Other factors that caused the terrible outburst of emotions was the fact of the extreme amount of stress that was building up and the TOTAL lack of support I was receiving from certain quarters. I was very overwhelmed.
A grand total of 6 modules with 5 assignments to be submitted regularly each week. 24 credits. A battle of emotions, brain-cells and sleep deprivation. In a totally new environment.
And I think I almost lost the battle when I started ranting by writing the message.
I lost self-control.

Heehee. Did I *scare* you all with that part above?
5 weeks on, I can't honestly say that the stress is reducing......rather it has been increasing. But I forced myself to look at it in from another angle. I really forced myself.
You know like casually mentioning about my bra factory business to my new classmates and relishing at the strange horror-faced look. And I will try in my most deadpan voice say about the latest (E)uro Cup designs being rolled out.
It was a challenge convincing people back in JC, it still is. But I am thinking, all my Sec 4/3 classmates and JC-mates know about my famous trade and are convinced that it's a thriving business. So I guess I am going to persevere. I am sure I will be able to gain plenty of new business opportunites with my fellow chem engin classmates.
And did you hear about my adventures with my organic chem book? Or rather its adventures with me. Or gawd, I swear at times, I don't know whether I am learning chemistry or doing weightlifting. Plus, that thing can seriously maim or kill someone. Don't believe me right? Wait till someone accidentally (my foot!) dropped the book (literally, my FOOT!) on YOUR right foot.
But the biggest challenge I have ever faced is this:
I realized it's NOT the inability to be able to complete tutorials on time. It's not a challenge; it's a perennial problem that can only be solved if I can freeze time.
I also realized it's NOT trying to fit in or find new friends. I am a TKG-ian remember? I can make friends with the fish in the pond.
That I am one out of the only two Malay girls in this course. It feels very strange. Now now, don't want to make race issues or whatever.... but it just feels very very odd. The feeling of being watched closely.
*smiles*
Perhaps LT5 is haunted.
Anyway, that was the second biggest challenge.... the biggest challenge is the TOTAL LACK of eligible guys in this faculty! Oh gawd! The horrors!
I remember most of you guys predicted that I will get married first.

So as you can see the results of the census pretty much speaks for itself. Can't possibly ask me on character-wise right? But most engin guys are nice decent people...
Obviously Aidah is soooo stressed that she tries to focus on something else other than the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics and Entropy Change.

and hi audrey! try to look on the bright side of things… think of it as you’re going to a new place rather than the fact that you’re leaving singapore… you will miss the things and pple and food in singapore but it’s not as if you are going to be gone forever! And it’s amazing how much more you’ll appreciate what you have in sg when you're there... which part of uk will you be going anyway?

Anyway remember, you are a lucky person to get an overseas education..... i am not talking abt the quality but more of the fact that you will be gaining a beautiful enriching insight on how the world is........blah blah, in other words, you are GOING to SEE THE WORLD!

While I remain stuck here in S'pore.... not being unpatriotic or whatever (look I actually bothered to *plant* a FLAG on this site) S'pore is stifling. omg! it sure feels good to hear from everyone ! i'm due to leave sunny singapore for crime rate-high, ultra polluted, not very efficient london in 17 days time as of today..... im feeling very sad n wondering if im making the right choice actually cuz i dun seem to want to leave now...the momentary emotional pangs of missing everyone close to me is alr setting in even though i am not gone yet. is this a natural feeling? someone pls enlighten me.....!

on the brighter side tho, i will have abt 11 hrs of school a week......(4 hrs of which on fri are math lessons) andthe rest of the time is up to me to play and eat and sleep....most likely play and sleep la... and trying to get my body adjusted to jet lag.
my orientation consists of 3 full days of pub crawling *roll my eyes* how exciting can tht get? not very to me la...im not the clubbing sort, considering i AM allergic to alcohol....!
as for now, i am eating all the singaporean i can cuz it'll be so costly there.
anyone who wants to holiday in europe in dec or anytime when im there pls contact me via email k? bunking in with me or in my hall is so much cheaper than outside. it's 20m pounds in my hall as opposed to at least 50 pounds outside and u dun even get a toilet.....! sad case....

hello pple! how was national day? =P a couple of friends and i were trying to be patriotic by having a national day party..
the initial plan was to have a party watching the webcast and eating "red-and-white food"... no.. it's not as gross as it sounds! we were SUPPOSED to have tandoori chicken and rice and strawberries and cream and vanilla and strawberry icecream... haha... but then all of us were too lazy to get the tandoori sauce and the strawberries so we ended up cooking normal food.... it was still nice though =)
and the webcast... haha.. erm.. firstly it wasn't very ideal to start with cos we had a 56k modem... and either the page where the webcast was supposed to be was too busy to entertain to our request, or that there happened to be sthing wrong with the internet connection that night... we tried 4 laptops and we didn't even get to see one second of it.. the closest we got was where it loaded to 79%... and then it hung....
oh well... whatever can go wrong will go wrong! =P

since i begin the class most of the time with a story... i will continue with a story....
THE MOTHER
This teenager lived alone with his mother, and the two of them had a very special relationship. Even though the son was always on the bench, his mother was always in the stands cheering. She never missed a game.
This young man was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school. But his mother continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn't want to. But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there.
He was determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he'd get to play when he became a senior. All through high school he never missed a practice or a game, but remained a bench warmer all four years.
His faithful mother was always in the stands, always with words of encouragement for him. When the young man went to college, he decided to try out for the football team as a "walk-on." Everyone was sure he could never make the cut, but he did. The coach admitted that he kept him on the roster because he always puts his heart and soul into every practice, and at the same time, provided the other members with the spirit and hustle they badly needed.
The news that he had survived the cut thrilled him so much that he rushed to the nearest phone and called his mother. His mother shared his excitement and was sent season tickets for all the college games. This persistent young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in the game.
It was the end of his senior football season, and as he trotted onto the practice field shortly before the big play-off game, the coach met him with a telegram. The young man read the telegram and he became deathly silent. Swallowing hard, he mumbled to the coach, "My mother died this morning. Is it all right if I miss practice today?" The coach put his arm gently around his shoulder and said, "Take the rest of the week off, son. And don't even plan to come back to the game on Saturday.
Saturday arrived, and the game was not going well. In the third quarter, when the team as ten points behind, a silent young man quietly slipped into the empty locker room and put on his football gear. As he ran onto the sidelines, the coach and his players were astounded to see their faithful team-mate back so soon. "Coach, please let me play. I've just got to play today," said the young man. The coach pretended not to hear him. There was no way he wanted his worst player in this close play-off game. But the young man persisted, and finally feeling sorry for the kid, the coach gave in.
"All right," he said. "You can go in." Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown, who had never played before was doing everything right. The opposing team could not stop him. He ran, blocked and tackled like a star. His team began to triumph. The score was soon tied.
In the closing seconds of the game, this kid intercepted a pass and ran all the way for the winning touchdown. The fans broke loose. His team-mates hoisted him onto their shoulders. Such cheering you've never heard!
Finally, after the stands had emptied and the team had showered and left the locker room, the coach noticed that the young man was sitting quietly in the corner all alone. The coach came to him and said, "Kid, I can't believe it. You were fantastic! Tell me what got into you? How did you do it?"
He looked at the coach, with tears in his eyes, and said, " Well, you knew my mom died, but did you know that my mom was blind?
The young man swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Mom came to all my games, but today was the first time she could see me play, and I wanted to show her I could do it!"

I am so sorry for my long absence from this message board. I guessed that there are some things I can't escape from.... the real world. Yup this is my virtual domain, my other life from reality. Really sorry I had to neglect it for a while.
Just for this message, I am going to discard my other two personas...Today it's just Aidah k?
As the moderator of the board, (yes the moderator as in Aidah, ok? Don't get confused here...) I have a responsibility to maintain my presence here.
I also have the responsibilty to ensure that people will post messages here regularly. I assumed these responsibilities the moment I decided to set up this board for ALL of us to keep in touch. I hate to say that I may have failed in this aspect but it's rather sad to see the amount of messages becoming slowly and slowly non-existent.
My aim for this message board was very simple. I wanted at least half the class to keep in touch with each other. I really hate when we meet or happen to run with each other on the street or school, we become so awkward and so strange when in fact we spent two years together back in TKGS.
I am not sure whether all of you still share my sentiments when I say Sec 4/3 (2000) was a special class. Is it wrong for me to use the past tense?
Is the class, wait... *OUR* class... IS it still special? Or *was* it special back 3 years ago?
Sigh.... I have no answer for that. You all still remember the touching email Ms Lee sent to us? I am happy to say I actually managed to recover this
file from my crashed hard disk. Read it guys. Perhaps then you can answer the question that I posed earlier on.
Hi there all!
It's un-cool to see your FM cried in class. Guess I was really too
overwhelmed with sadness at that point. Wonder if I would have done this
with another class in another year? The answer is "No!". Basically, Sec 4E3
2000 is the only class that make me feel whole again as a teacher should
feel!
I admit I have thoughts of leaving teaching. I will eventually for the sake of raising my own children. I hate to have maids. Till then, I guess I'll be
in TKGS.
Good idea to have the web-page. Hope we are able to link up to some email stuff for everyone to update their particulars there and to communicate at
that place. Hopefully someone can do that?
Really want to say that I've enjoyed teaching everybody this year. You all have made me see why I've come into teaching as a profession.
Know that it is not easy to let go of the past. But we have to let go one day when we go on to the next phase in our life. Hanging on will bring too
much grief and memories...
I once read somewhere that 'to love someone is to let that someone go so that he/she can find the happiness and that in turn will make you happy'. I've adopted that approach and would like to tell you we can learn to let go
of something dear once you have loved it; fear not of letting go as it's only when we let go then we are able to welcome new experiences and new memories into our lives and to treasure those that have gone.
Remember well, girls, that there's a long road ahead of us. We would not be sure what road to take to meet our ends; But we do know that we have to work hard and work towards what we want. You may disappoint others but never,
never disappoint yourself! Learn to take real good care of yourself, love yourself and train yourself to believe in no one but yourself! Trust not others but yourself, ok? For the world outside the world of school and academia is cruel and harsh.
Heed well of these advice. For I've come to learn these painful experiences and took a longer road to get to where I am today.
Remember to be a new-age woman - bag a degree or a higher degree and be independent! When all else fail (money, love, friendship and etc.) know that you have your qualification to get you anywhere in the world to work and
earn your own means.
Try to travel beyond Singapore. See things from a different perspective, from the other countries' point of views and then come back to Singapore to work again. You will feel that you have gained more in that sense.
'Globalise' as what Harry Lee Kuan Yew said. You will benefit.

Thanks Audrey for bothering to react to my message. Won't say the same for some people. Hmmmphff. Did you realize that the number of views this page received has exceeded 2000? So how come I have less than 200 messages in total here? Sigh. You all ah, like to lurk around here but NEVER post any message. Like I said many MANY times before, your message need not meet very high standard. I do not demand essays here, but generally most messages follow a guideline of at *least* some crap. Ok, so you all get it clear? Post ANYTHING, for heavens' sake ~gack, cough~ or sake of my sanity.
Due to popular demand, I will accede to Audrey's request on how to post pictures here. Maybe then, more people will start posting messages and pictures around here.
Step 1 : Sign-up With A Free Webspace Server
I strongly recommend Strike9.com. Sign up for an account there. It's free, so don't expect too much webspace, only 2.0MB. This will be where your image resides on the World Wide Web. Once you are ready to login to your account, read Step 2.
Step 2 : Upload Your Images or Pictures
Try to figure this out on our own. Very lazy to type out the instructions. There's a "My Files" section somewhere there and upload your pictures there. Anyway, if you did the uploading correctly, there should be small version of your image there. Click on the image. Then a new page will open, showing your actual picture in its FULL GLORY.
Get it so far? Now MEMORISE the url of the image in the address bar.
LOL. Just kidding. Don't you ever wonder why people KEEP telling YOU their website address? www dot something something? Hello, you REALLY *think* I can remember? Ok ok stop backtracking...
Step 3: Understand HTML
Remember I was just kidding about the memorising. Just right click and copy the URL of your image. Don't PASTE yet!!!!! Open up another new page, go to Sec 4/3 Online Kampung. Click on post a new message.
Type this in the "Write Your Message Here" box.

Paste the url of the image in between the inverted commas. One more thing to note. Ok, more like a few things to note.
1) There is NO space between the < and img
2) There IS a space between img and src
3) There is NO space between src and = and "
4) There is NO space in between the inverted commas where immediately after the ",you are to paste the URL. Immediately at the end of the URL, put the closing inverted commas.
5) There is NO space between the closing inverted commas " and the >
The reason why I BROKE all the rules up there was so that you can actually SEE the html code above i.e the IMG SRC thingy.
Remember that the URL of most pictures/images must end with .jpeg OR a .gif extension.

wah.... tugging at heartstrings huh? i still have that email too actually. i printed it out and pasted it in my photo album with all our crazy photos on it... as it nears my dept date, i've been looking at the photos frequently actually..=) i just saw mrs tan and mr yeo yesterday at my award ceremnony. as i had to invite a teacher who inspired me the most, i invited mrs tan. fret not, she's looking good, and thinking of naming her daughter janel (or pronounuced like taht but spelt differently.) mr yeo is the same la... no change at all, not even the slightest bit, when he saw me, the first thing he said was, why u want to teach??? in the typical yeo style of talking.... anyway, how do u put up a photo here? someone teach me the technosaurus....=(

HOW CAN YOU ALL BE BORED? FOR GOODNESS SAKE, there is LESS than a month left before school begins!
We should be busy treasuring whatever few weeks we have left! You all lah.... these things also I must teach.
But first let me explain why I was absent from this board for so long. Brace yourselves for this.

But first of all-important number 1 rule when reading this message. No eating. Serious. 
Well first of all, the Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit took me hostage. Oh yes. After the fiasco of the Sec 4/3 class reunion. No kidding. Well I kinda expected of something less drastic, you know the usual not-so-scary blazing eyeballs and the "poofing" right-in-front of my eyes routine....
You know...~brings fingers to air to do the inverted commas thingy~... to "scare" me.....
Why she wants to scare me? Hell-o? Where the hell have you been? On ANOTHER message board? Go scroll down and find out. Try looking for "The Proverbial Sec 4/3 Class Spirit: The Meaning Behind It Or Rather Her. If She Has A Behind."
Anyway there I was, all tied up. Very stuck. Her accomplice was most probably the Moderator, that NPCC cadet inspector who seems to know how to tie every untie-able knot in the book.
And worse, stuck, in the same room with the Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit. I was not quite sure where I was. She did the "poofing" thing again with me and next thing I knew I poofed up somewhere else.
I was so desperate I kept mumbling "Beam me up, Scotty" hoping maybe I can "poof" myself out of there. It didn't work of course. Dashing Captain Picard from Star Trek did not materialize in front of me to rescue me.
Man....can you blame me? I was watching Star Trek BEFORE having supper when I got kidnapped. People tend to get delusional when they're hungry ok?
And there was the Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit looking very engrossed in her "Kidnapping For Dummies" book.
Sigh, to be tied up and kidnapped is terrible, but by an amateur? That's even worse.
Anyway she got rather excited when she came across this paragraph which she read to me.
"First of all, make sure that your demands are crystal clear to the negotiators in every hostage situation."
"Ha! That's simple. My demands are that all 40 members of Sec 4/3 to post a message there at least once."
She ponders. "A day. Once a day. Well, that would be too much, maybe...." She ponders again. Undecisively I might add.
"Never mind. We go on to the next step."
"Reveal the consequences, preferably one that will amount to a great tragedy if your demands are not met."
"Now, this is easy. I will COMPLETELY DESTROY Aidah's sense of humour. Muaahahhahaha. I think I captured the nuances of an evil laughter just right?"
Believe me, when I heard that I got really scared. Really. No, not because of the evil laughter. The stray cat coughing out a fur-ball sounds more scary. The thought of ME losing my humour was terrifying. 
I thought I felt the urge to pee in my pants. Perhaps the fact that I just had a huge mug of Vanilla Coke before maybe contributed.
Can you imagine me at one of our future reunions, telling out a joke, and all I hear is just silence? Truly horrible. *shivers*
"However, you wouldn't want to do that. As it simply means your plan has failed. So when you want to be sure that your demands will be complied and followed, the next thing is to re-assess the value of your hostage to the the other party involved."
She looks at me. Then throws up her arms in defeat.
"Well, that's a no-brainer! Sheesh! What the hell was I thinking? Your value? The problem is the lack of thereof," she said rolling her eyeballs.
What! Here I was sitting very cooperatively helping her meet HER demands. And she complains about my value. Talk about unappreciative.
Side note: Well technically I do not actually expect my Sec 4/3 classmates to come storming in through the door to rescue me. I was not *THAT* delusional. But still I am important right? Guys? Hellooooo?
"Might as well I let you go right? Waste of time. Note to self: Select the hostage *first*. Preferably someone that will actually have an IMPACT."
I would have said "Hey!" very loudly if not for the gag.
So to cut a long story short, she let me go and I poofed back to the living room. Just in time to see the Star Trek end credits rolling. Argh. Missed Captain Picard. Again.
Well that explains my absence, as you can see. Although technically, I only accounted for just roughly an hour.
Ok ok ok. ~deadpan face~ I was busy gallivanting with my boyfriend this past few weeks. Yes, he took up a lot of my time.
~hears a huge ROAR of laughter~
You people are terrible. Can't you at least humour me a bit? Like PRETENDING to believe me? Sigh.
Fine. I was on a two-week mission to recover the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and discover the whereabouts of Saddam Hussin.
I tried to convince my superiors that the silver cutlery fork in the palaces' kitchens could be the WMD. I mean I did *SEE* what the Moderator did with it. Unfortunately my superiors were not convinced.
~a pause...followed by another roar of laughter~
Oooooooooh.....! That mission story you ALMOST BELIEVED! But the boyfriend story you dismissed IMMEDIATELY! You all are.....too much siah...
Sigh. This is what really HAPPENED. My pc crashed. Hard drive completely *GONE*. My gawd, I spent one week trying to recover what I can. And when I finally managed, there was so many corrupted files. Horrible.
My sister told me that I looked more pathetic than Goerge Bush trying to convince the world that the Iraq war was justifiable.
Happy now? The lesson we must learn now is that.... do back-ups REGULARLY!
I will be posting regularly as soon as possible, once my pc is 100% ok.
Meanwhile have you guys heard what a round robin is? *grins*

Been exactly one week since the class reunion... It was nice to see everyone, well almost everyone.. ok ok ok... all eight other pple of our 4/3 classmates... Sigh... No wonder the Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit was screaming at me...
Lemme take the class attendance that day...

Taya was there... well her voice was there. I am sure her presence at the class reunion would sound more materialising in the form of my phone bill!
Oh yeah, did you know we met Mr Yeo later at Tampines Mall? He said he was waiting for the Ultraman show to start at the atrium. Typical....
As you can see below are the happy attendees of our class reunion... Oh yes, that's me at the back in case you all don't notice. Yup, that's how Aidah looks like after a dip in the waters at Pasir Ris Beach. Don't be fooled by my obviously dry appearance. I was very wet in fact. Right Xiu?
Xiu: ~rolls eyeballs~ "Right....... we had such a fun time throwing each other into the water..."
For those absentees, ahem.... I need your excuse letters, M.Cs ok? The Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit was rather forceful in enforcing this....

"HELL-O! Of course, you *didn't* see ME! I am a CLASS SPIRIT for heavens' sake! You do not SIMPLY open your eyes and point out 'There's OUR class spirit!' Sheesh! You want proof? How about the meeting with Mr Yeo? It was NOT mere coincidence. Definitely." ~raises eyebrows~

Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit: ~widens eyes, believe me this is so NOT SCARY... she *tries* to create those terrifying blazing eyes but fails miserably of course~
"Ooohh! You little.....argh! If only the Moderator was here with her fork! And if only *I* could hold a fork without it passing through my spirit hands... you would have gotten it from me! ~takes deep breath to calm down, then in smug tone~

Aidah: ~takes a look at photo before~ "Aaaaaaaarrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ~...screaming like
a school-girl...~ 
Sec 4/3 Proverbial Class Spirit: ~doing her trademark action of those ridiculous hand wriggling in the air....and intones~ "Remember I am your 41st classmate.......I am your CLASS SPIRIT!" ~TRIES to laugh in evil manner but sounds more like a cat with bad case of hair-ball~
Aidah: "Glad she's gone...finally. Nah, don't worry about the slight shadow beside Fatin, don't think it's her, but then again we took the picture at around 7pm.....hmmm.... Anyway the real reason I was screaming was because..... of Fatin's hair! My gawd, what did you do to your hair? What, suddenly you decide to take a leaf from Elfi? Careful, don't let the Class Spirit get lost in your hair... like how things get lost in Elfi's........"

Doesn't anyone realise how dangerous the roads are today. Not to mention how terrifying it is to be on the road. If you don't believe me just look out of your window, and notice how many cars zooming around callously and how many taxis just slips in and out of the lane like nobody's business. Plus, there are also inexperienced drivers out there who don't really know what they're doing. So please if ever you see me learning to drive out there, please don't leave your house.
Be safe. Stay off the roads.

im in such a sneezy mood today...argh- feel like plucking off my nose....! i am so not techno savvy... if i was, i would have figured out how to do the html thingy... in my courageous attempt to hook my cable line to my laptop, i kena electrocuted! so those who got the photos- it was sent with an electrifying pain ok!
can't believe i was electrocuted- slightly of course, but enough to scare me... haha

Yes the class reunion that I am SURE you all are looking forward to is COMING!
Venue: Pasir Ris beach (near the spider-web playground there)
Time: 1pm
The bad news is that we're unable to book a bbq pit. Yes... typical over-zealous-barbecuing-mad S'poreans beat us to it.
The Moderator will be bringing some cooked food and some fellow organisers will be bringing in some titbits and drinks. (Right guys?)
But please do not hope that your hunger will be sated there.... So I strongly advise that you take a heavy lunch before coming down.
The aim of this whole reunion is just for us to meet each other face-to-face, catch up on old times....and have fun on the beach!

..which would of course include throwing people in the water, VERY physical beach games (double meaning intended) and serious hunk-watching.
Ok...HOLD THAT THOUGHT on the last item....wouldn't want you guys to start salivating in front of the monitor. Anyway this *IS* Pasir Ris beach, not the Bondi beach in Australia. The hunky things around would probably be the oversized hunky palm tree trunk, the hunky piece of driftwood....well you get the idea?
The Moderator is looking forward to seeing everyone there. She is probably helping with the utensils like the spoons, plates and FORKS....
