The Moderator is contemplating putting their faces on HL Milk cartons. She is worried they are out there all alone, having no life.

These people were once your classmates! It's almost wrong to let them to miss out on all this.

The Moderator is also sad to inform you about some bad news regarding the upcoming class reunion.
As some of you know, the venue where we intended to have the reunion was a secret..... To let you all in the secret, it was originally supposed to be held at TKGS! Sigh, even the Moderator and with her fork, she was still unable to secure the TKGS bbq pit.... We really thought that getting TKGS as a venue was a done deal. Damn.
So as you all can see our plans has hit a snag....with no venue and all. We wanted to book a bbq pit at East Coast but we believe it may be too late. So right now, we're hard-pressed to find a solution in case we don't get one at East Coast.
So posters of SFTOK, any ideas on what we can do instead?
~banging head against wall does not help, but you know the sharp pain actually FORCES me to think harder. The fork the Moderator uses does not really help. Especially when it's all rusty..~
Sec 4/3 Class Spirit: O--kay...you are freaking me out...
You know, at this point of time... we really miss *ehem*....the class chairman and vice-chairman...who of course have to be 5000km away from us... sigh.... I'm sorry if we under-appreciated both of you back then... 
But believe the Moderator when she says that the reunion is still on. Notwithstanding weather conditions like a sudden typhoon hitting right smack at our gathering. The Meteorological Service says the chances of that happening is like a cold day in hell.
All of us have been FAR APART from each other for TOO LONG!
No way are we getting a small snafu like no venue to stop us from meeting. Right?

aiyo marge so morbid, the last few lines of ur post... sometimes, i really wonder if it will happen to everyone of us..whatever that was being said.
like what i tld one of my students who wanted to commit suicide (yes, commit suicide at sec 1) everything happens for a reason... but you know wat, i also think whatever happens, is because of what we did, or wat we did not do... life is ever so complicated, but if it were simple, there wun be any challenges for us to face alr wat... i think doing lit has made me very cynical abt many many things... for example..... what is the line between truth and illusion? the only thing between it is choice i guess... cuz when u're deluded, you choose to be, or you choose to not see the truth.. and also abt relationships... how on earth do u know if tt person is the one? what if ure alr committed and u meet another u think is more the one...haha and the list of questions go on and on and on....these were the things my lit teacher asked me last yr, and what i had no answers for cuz i jus wasnt thinking. i think in tk, we were quite spoonfed,such tt in jc, trs tell us to think more! and i thot i WAS thinking! i always got damn frustrated when some one told me that i wasnt thinking enough... but when i finally got down to thinking in yr 2, i found it fun but tiring... but now i never take things at face value..
how the hell did i get to this crap? sheesh...guess im hot and bothered..esp by the freaking weather nowadays!

Aloha!!! heehee... it's so interesting reading all your messages that i don't even know what to write. oh yah, i'm sort of disappointed that i'll be missing the class gathering in june, but air tickets are too expensive... it a waste we didn't have one last december, but what the hell we can always have one/many in future...
well just like sm, my exams are coming, but still have loads of other assignments, so i'm getting this pretty hectic lifestyle now.

You all SHOULD have been there!! The Staff Room! My gawd.... the THINGS we have to do to get the message posted!
Two relief teachers and THE MODERATOR..... can produce a huge amount of coercion especially with a SHARP FORK!
THE MODERATOR:
~snarls, with a sharp fork being aimed at one of the more delicate nether regions of the body~
"Are you going to post or not?"
The Two Relief Teachers:
~laughing wickedly~
Ms Fatin: "Give it up already. Anything she holds in her hand will become a WMD. Weapon of Mass Destruction."

~The Two Relief Teachers let out a huge cackle, doing a high-five. Apparently thinking that their joke was actually funny.~

Wow, the power of the fork is truly amazing. I think UN weapons inspectors should consider THE MODERATOR as their next suspect to search.
I guess after the interesting scene at the Staff Room, the SFTOK would soon be flooded with messages from our favourite teachers.
(Good things about written messages: we need not see the faces behind it, cos it would undoubtedly be of sheer horror and fear.)
Disclaimer: No teachers were hurt during the posting of the message, E Maths, Literature or otherwise. Really. Mr Yeo especially was very nice.

sorry for being so MIA for freaking long. Sadly, i only found out abt this thingy today... oops... btw, i am posting this from Singapore, in the comfort of my house! Not UK, as some of you think! I will be leaving for UK, London, to be exact in less than 5 months time- abt mid sept- for further studies... will be doing geog at university college london for hopefully 4 yrs (3 yrs BA 1 yr Masters, if i ever get to my 4th yr)
how's everything? it seems like ages since i last saw anyone from 4/3... except margie..sorry i din reply ur sms tt day. i was in a meeting and i kinda forgot to after it ended.... for your information, im working at KC now, teaching geog and eng.... and I AM BEING SERIUOSLY UNDERPAID AND OVERWORKED!!!!! i am left exhausted every day! that i have no energy to go out and go shopping and whatever else i always do! so i feel damn deprived now...
noraidah, when i read ur bra factory thing.... it made me laugh so hard i fell off my chair (cuz i was recalling ur infamous trade, as well as our chem lessons in the lab)

hey guys, so who was that 'me'? Any other takers for Mr Yeo? Lol ok it indeed was mr yeo man, we coaxed him into posting one at our board. So how's everyone? Just when I thought all my marking was done, there came another 5 stacks of CAs to mark. Its rather annoying, but let me STRESS that the STRESS i go through as a teacher is absolutely NOTHING compared to the STRESS i experienced as a student, esp during A levels man...sheesh. Well i guess its good being able to be at the other end of the boat for a while...sometimes i feel quite sadistic..really tempted to kill them and set diff tests...hahahahahha. Seeing the lack of good news in Singapore, I decided to organise an intra-class online writing competition. Called "Un-True Journalism" (fancy word for outrageous science-fiction), the guidelines for this competition is simple. Just pluck out some REAL news from the papers, twist it a bit, and give a happy ending.
Some examples of probable headlines to give you some ideas:
"Osama Bin Laden Captured: Had Been Posing As A Jaga in Local JC!"
"George Bush Jr Admits His Infatuation For Saddam: It's The Moustache!"
The aim of this competition is to see whom of our classmates are potential journalists.

I have a dream that one day, all other 39 of my 4/3 classmates gather at the Sec 4/3 Online Kampung (SFTOL) and post messages there every day at any chance that they can get.
I dream that SFTOL be the most vibrant place online where my 4/3 classmates can post as much crap as they want.
I have a dream that one day, SFTOL will be the ultimate meeting place for all former 4/3-ians ranging from diverse places such as South Korea, Thailand and Australia and as well as from Tampines and Bukit Batok. Where every message posted will be like a reunion of sorts for everyone.
I dream that all my classmates from such diverse backgrounds can finally join hands without worrying about fear of awkwardness and spreading of SARS. But just to be safe, I dream that we all do it online. (first and after a through washing of hands.)
I hope to see messages informing about class reunions be as common as the United States informing the rest of the world that it is always right.

But think about this, i mean really think. All the time spent with your classmates, all the laughter, sorrows, and happiness of knowing that
your friends are there in your class. Now imagine them gone, perhaps part of them or even all of them. You may not realise it, but when advancing into the next level of education, it is inevitable that some friends will be parting with you.
What is all this you ask yourself, what I ask is of you to think, for those who received this mail, what do those people who were once or were still your classmates and friends meant to you.
Anyone who has at least finished their o levels and has graduated from
respective schools would know the feeling of parting with your
classmates and friends. Not knowing when you still see them again. Perhaps the next day, the next week, month, years, or even decade.
Perhaps one day, you would realised how bitter sweet those memories were, the fun you had with your classmates and friends. That is why ever so often when you asked someone which is the most fond memories they had in their years in education, they would often have that sadness in their eyes, but yet, they smile briefly. It's the memories of their school friends. Those unforgettable years of laughter and happiness in school. Each classmate had suffered under the same stresses in school. The teachers, weather they are kind or extremely strict.
So treasure your schooling days, don't
complain, because you never kno! w when you will miss them dearly. And perhaps, shed a tear for those treasured times in your youth.
Now, you have two choices,

First of all is PICTURES... I know you want to put up pictures here.
First of get the picture you want to put here.
Like what I did with the picture of the band Jimmy Eat World.
I took note of the URL of the picture and copied it.
Then using the magic code of HTML like this:
Voila! Your picture is displayed. Do remember to put in the exact URL between those inverted commas. Otherwise your picture won't be displayed.
I am not the best on HTML matters definitely but if you need , I will try my best.
Meanwhile, I will be looking forward to reading all your messages.

I am very very excited about this event. As you know it happens like...ONLY ONCE IN 50 YEARS! The flyer I received highlighted that it is preferable that we book a whole table.. so I hope to get at least 9 other people interested..
Plus the prospect of a reunion with my fave classmates at a very posh ballroom just adds greater sentimental feelings..
I am just glad that TKGS is celebrating her 50th Anniversary in a very sensible manner.
A certain JC I know of tried to celebrate her 25th Anniversary with a 25-km run.
It was...tiring, needless to say.
Can you imagine TKGS trying to do the same with a lung-bursting and sweat-inducing event? Like a 50 km run to commemorate her Golden Jubilee?
Gawd... I can imagine the huffing and puffing. Sad reality is that not everybody is like our beloved Fatin, our mild-mannered Sports Captain. (who has incidentally has transformed to Relief Teacher Extrodinaire)
Fatin: Relief teacher by day, swashbuckling badminton player by night. Btw, you still play badminton right?
She probably does 50km runs as regularly as we wash our hair.

Ok.. Just in case you all are wondering, this message board works with the latest messages on top, and the previous messages being pushed to the bottom.
I know how much you all love how to send crappy emails, funny pics et all.
With some basic HTML, it is very easy. I think Faezah can do it with one eye closed right?
The board does not allow data to be uploaded so you may have to sign up to a free online storage account like Tripod. Store all crappy pics in the account. Then using HTML, just simply link it up!
Btw, was the email funny? Don't let SM fool you with that 7.30AM SMS she sent.

What with all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in... and then the trouble started.
