It had been two months. She looked out the window of her beach house and sighed as a light snow began to fall upon the sand melting as the snowflakes hit the ocean and disappeared into the waves that crashed. She needed to get out of here though, needed to get out and do something again in this cold dying town. It had been a long time since she had really done anything she enjoyed.
Two very long months and all she had to keep her going was a simple note that said "I have to leave for a while." No name, no other explanation, just a note and she immediately had known who it was from. Zeth had up and left with no warning of when or if he would even come back to her. So here she had stayed, locked away in her beach house, paying the rent and living how she needed to, day by day. Life here had become rather boring without her employeer and friend . She needed to leave the house and so she finally did. Ashena stood up and grabbed the black peacoat she had, sliding over her tiny body, over the dark washed jeans tucked into black heeled boots, over the white long sleeved scoop neck top that showed off the top of her rounded breasts. She sighed as she left, locking the door and moving on to walk.
She walked for a long while before she finally stopped and looked up to the place she had come to. Before her eyes stood the warehouse, the first place she had met her employeer, the first place she had met Zeth. The memories came flooding back to her now. The fears that she felt when she found out what he was, the pain as he bit and took what wasn't his to take, the hurt in her eyes as she struggled to breath. Then the relief that came with his blood, the transformation of herself, the bonding that was now between them that made them close friends . Gah, her heart missed him. So she kept going, moving up to the place where he had lived and moved to walk down the hall she had walked many times, the stairs up to his apartment. She had already knocked on it once before earlier this morning, but Alicia wasn't home and she knew that no one would be. It had been left alone for a long time and no one was home. But she still found herself now standing in front of the door, her hand raised as she knocked upon it, hoping and praying that somehow her friend would be home.
