Subject: A very much less serious comment - maybe I should become a witless, if they can promise there will be a "Morning Glory" to greet me in every house! >>>>

Very few of the "Witlesses" have called on me since word got around that I was critical of their practice of shunning former members of their flock who disagreed with some of their beliefs, or even questionned them! The first time I challenged them with this as being hardly a Christian way to deal with people, I was told there was a scriptural basis for shunning. I replied there was a scriptural basis for anything ( child beating, murder, incest, etc.) if you looked for it. In short, using the entire Bible as the textbook for how to live one's life is very questionable. Certain parts are useful, however. But that's another story!
