Subject: Hi Betsy, I'll check in here, leave me a time that works for you, and I'll work from here at the same time. Tiina is healing well, though she's been nauseous for the past three days, and headachy. Might be that she's 'coming down' off the cocktails they gave her for pain ;) She says thanks, by the way! I was just up north closing up Peter's family's cottage as it's something I could do to help. What a glorious fall weekend we're having, clear skies, crisp weather, great colours! The moon has been spectacular! I thought about it shining down on all of us wherever we are, last night. It really is a small world after all! Our energies wrap around it in a nanu second!

Carlah surprised us Sat. night and came home from Virginia for a couple of days. We took her to the airport last evening. She's returning to Va. then leaving for Japan for TWO YEARS!!!! Needless to say, I have been a puddle of tears. I'm torn by such mixed emotions. Proud of her for taking charge of her life, scared to death that she will be safe, heart broken that she is going to be gone so long, let alone the feelings of dicotomy of having a daughter in the military when I have always been such a Peace Activist.
