[> hi! It's so late at night, I couldn't sleep...just checking in here! FINALLY good news on Peter, I went to work on him and visit yesterday and he's finally OUT of ICU (he was in isolation for over a week too)...suddenly he is in 'progressive weaning' and in one day he was able to get rid of almost all his tubes (he's had them for EVERYthing...and last time I saw him a few days earlier he had no voice as the trach tube wasn't in)...anyway...his intravenous was removed and he was told he can eat practically anything. This is HUGE! His tumours should have shrunk more than they have, so another five days of chemo coming up, but he's one of the absolutely strongest men I know, with a big heart and a great sense of humour. He's asked me to thank everyone who's been sending him healing prayers and energy. The staff are blown away by his progress over the last few days. >>>>>inside for a pic of him -- Viive (I LOVE that quote too! I was thinking of it this afternoon myself, nice to see it here!), 03:14:21 10/27/06 Fri

Peter is second from the left
...he was giving a talk on why he became a reserve officer for the Estonian military, less than a month before he suddenly couldn't breathe and they found the cancer. I had no sense of him being ill when this was taken, I was staying at their cottage, we talked into the night, he was in fine form!

[> [> I just want to jump into that picture and hug him silly. What a wonderful soul!!!!! So so so glad he's on the upswing. I continue to send Reiki and prayers daily. Give him my best (and a hug for good measure). -- Betsy, 09:19:23 10/27/06 Fri

[> [> [> thank you Betsy!! I'm going to buy him a rockstar wig or a mullet wig (saw Halloween ones in the drugstore) he decided it was a good plan to freak out his visitors on Halloween!! *giggles* $6.99 head of OH SO STYLISH hair! His big motivation is that his younger son turns 7 tomorrow, so his wife is bringing the boys to have a family birthday on Sunday at the hospital, they were hiding his gifts there in his closet. -- V., 17:50:14 10/27/06 Fri

[> It's Monday night, and Peter started round two of five days of chemotherapy today. He is SO grateful and deeply touched by all the prayers and reiki being sent to him by people he's never even met. He especially loved your hug that I passed on Saturday night, Betsy! Anyway I'd appreciate additional prayers for him this week, as he faces this next round. His body DID respond to the first set of Chemo, though the process almost did him in at times. He's so looking forward to the tumours shrinking more so that his diaphragm can start working on it's own again, this would be a BIG thing! And of course, hoping for the cancer to simply disappear! thank you so much for any and all loving thoughts coming his way! (yesterday his wife and two little boys had the 7 year old's birthday party in the hospital and dad was able to eat some cake with them!) -- Viive, 02:06:40 10/31/06 Tue

[> [> More on the way, Vii. Tell Peter I'm working hard for him here in Maine. I have a very upbeat feel about him. His spirit is so strong! -- Betsy, 14:40:33 10/31/06 Tue

[> [> BIG NEWS! and a BIG THANK YOU from Peter and his family....he's able to breathe on his own now, and he's going home on Saturday. He'll continue the chemo but at least he can sleep at home and be with his family. From where he was at a few weeks ago this is amazing news! anyway, I'm off to work, and hoping to see Keira after her ceremonies today!! -- Viive, 09:28:41 11/02/06 Thu

[> [> [> Peter went back to hospital last night with a 104F/40C fever, he's been doing really well at home until this, I was invited over for this evening, not sure what is going on, he's had so many tubes in him that the sites could get infected, I'm guessing..among other things. ....anyway, I hope you are all doing well, and thank you thank you thank you for all the love and light and prayers and energy from Peter and his wife. -- Viive, 09:41:56 11/11/06 Sat
