Subject: I didn't know that part about the actual word "arisaid" either Brenda. Thanks for the info! The way I'm wearing it in the pics is the "old way". I did alot of research on how Scottish women wore their clothes before I made the costumes and back then it was wrapped around as a second skirt, belted and then thrown over their shoulder and pinned with a brooch. Kind of a women's version of the men's great kilt only on a much smaller scale. I really enjoy watching the celtic dancers with their colorful plaids. It's fitting that your DD has the "Red Frasier" plaid for her costume (that is if you've read DG's books) *wink*
