Subject: I went through a year of pain with some severe tendonitis & ended up having to have surgery finally. I guess I just got used to the pain after a while. It was kind of like going through the stages of losing someone whose died. I went through feeling sorry for myself (victim mode), then I got really angry - why is this happening to me and why won't it go away no matter what I try. Then I just got used to it and started using my other hand/arm for things. It tought me that I can adjust if I really want to. As to clinging to the pain. I believe there's something to that but I don't understand why some people do that and others just "deal" with it somehow and move on. Good question. You have an e-mail coming too - I have questions for you on the piece I'm working on for you!
