Dave, how do you consider that stated by me in my text' was copied by you from the 'Army Rummour Service'. I must admitt that I take exception to being called or associated with what you class as the arse members! Thats fighting talk old son, so be very careful how you reply!
The question that you need to ask yourself is why the lanyard in question on the demise of the battle dress uniform?.....quoting your words disappeared for a short time, but returned as the dress of the RA in 1973. Thankyou for that as you have answered part of my question.
By the way, never heard this from any 'Sapper' and cowardice didn't come into the equation, as I never mentioned it!......
I think that you want to sit back and chill out, and reflect, before getting on your high horse and totally rejecting this story without considering all the facts before jumping in feet first! I heard this from a Sargeant of our Battery, and it wasn't a wind up either!
Remember that there is no smoke without fire!.............
Ask Terry Walton if you want conformation as to this story!
Enough said, I think!...............
