Subject: .....and longer possibly. One of my sons partially ruptured his in early June last year, By sheer chance, I happen to know one of the top UK foot surgeons. He said he did not need an op but was told it would be a year before full strength and that was after many weeks in a special boot and loads of physio. Apparently a few top sports people never quite return to previous levels because of the psychological fear of it going again - more than is the case with other major injuries.
