Subject: Its actually a valid and interesting question, deserving of its own thread. I often wonder how many people drastically reduced their interest and attendance as the 70s turner into became the bad old late 80s/90s. I only ever knew Fulham from those worst days onwards, had my longest season ticket and away run the decade from the early 90s to the early 00s. I'm generally much less interested in us when in the Premier League because its crap. Marco, however, has fundamentally changed that.

  • I get why people are upset about us just missing out this season, but yes as a 50+ seasons supporter, and a veteran of 1975, Torquay away, Swansea away, Carlisle and Hamburg....I do think sometimes people lack a bit of perspective. • The thing is, while I generally agree that people all too often seem to miss that perspective of what it was like watching Fulham, people outnumbered by weeds growing out of the stand, there is something about the Premier League that just saps the fun out of it. There's nothing to really look forward to. Little to really dream on when you realize how few times anything is ever won by smaller clubs. While I'm not there right now, I do understand why the View from the Riverside might feel that way (NT) -- eganonoa, Friday, May 09, 10:40:39pm (ue.tmodns.net/172.56.2.8)
