Very much so (and nice to have a proper discussion with Alboy!). There's tons of data supporting that thread, including that we're the team that is least dispossessed of the ball and the least tackled in the league (by a long way for both). But we're also the team with the most crosses (by far) and, as above, the least offsides and 2nd least through balls. Basically, our opponents appear very happy to let us have the ball, stand off us, allow us to fiddle around and then throw endless crosses in -- SW6.doc

So....league position etc. implies middle of the roaders and nothing to see here, but actually we are at the extremes in this league on many measures. I'd not have guessed that, but it does start to explain a few things, including why (which I *would* have guessed) we have been sussed.. - Yes very much so on the extremes. Can add long balls (2nd most completed) and switches of the ball from one side to the other (4th most) into that mix also. What is reads to me is that we've decided on a tactical plan (possession, build up down the left, lots of passing from the back, crossing) and our opponents have decided that that's just fine and simply let us do it; hence the extremities.
