Subject: They seem to favour it eternal appointments which have proved successful in the past. I'd imagine the board consulted Thomas Frank, and received his approval, on Andrews replacing him as head coach. On paper it seems a reckless decision, but then a similar argument could have been made for Frank. More importantly is that Brentford will lose 2 or 3 of their best players which leaves a mountain to climb regardless of who is appointed as manager.

  • For such an appt you would have to be confident the Club have really researched their options , including looking at more experienced /likely candidates . Yes with the key players they are highly likely to use , it’ll be a big challenge . But under similar previous setbacks , they Do seem to have people at the Hierarchy capable of making good decisions . • Looks like Damien Duff as his assistant !! Will that stop the hostility ???? (NT) -- MLC, Monday, June 23, 02:55:59pm (NoHost/104.28.40.138)
  • So Brentford appoint Andrews, someone with no management experience, and your line is "Brentford do seem to have people at (in?) the hierarchy capable of making good decisions". So if Marco left and we appointed Andrews, no doubt you would be raging at the ineptitude of our hierarchy....
