Subject: This is why I get annoyed by the balance of power in the modern game. Players know they can run contracts down, probably demand a large signing fee and big wages due no fee, fine. Now even under long term contract if they want they can kick up a fuss, throw some toys about and effectively force a move and possibly big signing fee again, they have too much power and too much money in football gets soaked up by player wages and agents.
In reply to: Same Old Story 's message, "i know for a fact thats what happened with Ryan Fredericks, virtually to the letter. (Funnily enough another right back of course). He's subsequently played less games in the 7 years since he left than he played in his last 2 seasons with us. Its a funny old game." on Wednesday, June 25, 05:34:36pm
