In reply to: Mr Kurkuruza 's message, "Why are you making the comparrison with JL Rowlings views? The sexual abuse of minors by men has been going on for millenia, whereas the sexual abuse of females by transnwomen has only being going on since hormones, surgery and unisex toilets have been available. I don't understand why you or anyone else would want to only highlight sexual crimes by men who's origins are from Pakistan. Does your preoccupation with this ethnicity keep all vulnerable children safe?" on Wednesday, June 25, 05:45:52pm

I can't speak for the poster you're responding to, but i think its a fairly simple statistical thing, no?
If you have 7% of the population committing 16% of the crime, (irrespective of the crime), then it means that population is over-represented. That, in itself signifies a problem. In the case of the rape gangs, this has essentially been proven by the Casey report mentioned in this thread - and, for a double whammy, its been covered up by authorities for at least 3 decades.
Now, does that mean all nonces shouldn't be strung up, and all children shouldn't be protected? Absolutely not. You can see that there is a problem within a community, and still want to tackle a wider problem. But surely, (and this is the same for literally any 'problem'), you tackle the area that carries the larger weighted threat - ie, if you tackle the problem within 7% of the population over-representing, then you solve 16% of the problem. If you tackle 7% within the general population you tackle 7%. So you tackle the over-representation first.

That doesn't then mean that the 93% of the population doesn't get looked at, and doesn't get dealt with. What we've been seeing though, is the 93% of the population that make up 84% of these crimes are being looked at, and the 7% that make up 16% are being assisted in covering up their crimes by various public bodies.
Now, another thing the Casey report is very clear on (and yes, i've poured through it in great detail - i know someone personally who was targetted and abused, so this is of importance to me), is that its this very type of conversation - the suggestion that there is no prevalence according to ethnicity, or the 'but what about the white nonces?' whataboutery that has occurred, has meant a large number of these cases haven't even been investigated. In her own words - open conversations need to be had about this stuff, not another 30 years of it being brushed away or blotted out. Again, look at the Casey report. Crime reports where words confirming ethnicity were tippexed out. Girls who were targetted for the very reason that they were white, working class. Its horrible. Every one of the 197 pages of that review absolutely disgust me, and every single crime committed - by ANY nationality or religion is vile. Any sane, sensible citizen of this country should feel huge shame that we've allowed a societal situation to develop where these horrors can occur.

But pretending some cultures don't have more of a leaning towards this stuff than others has not helped. For decades. Again, as per Baroness Casey - we need to start having honest conversations here - not the same ones.

Her review is publicly available.
