        Even the major fossil fuel companies have admitted that they knew in the late 70's that carbon extraction would heat the atmosphere. Amd now 80% of UK farmers are worried about hotter and drier summers. Even Trump knows the climate is heating up. Hence why he wants Greenland because he knows the ice is melting within his lifetime.         I suppose because you 'nay sayed' so early in the thread, and because I find it frustrating that anyone would publicly dispute such a vast body of research, backed by NASA and the UN. And then there is all the evidence that we see in our own lives and on the news. FFC are apparently trying to get a deal in Turkey for Romulo, but this has been hampered by the deadly fires in Izmur. There will always be people who go against the grain, but I think they need to be kept to a minimum on this issue.         Arctic Institute are a think tank, but for who's benefit? I read what they have to say about rising sea levels. They seem to be most critical about the claims of the media, and not disputing ice melt itself, although they do dispute reported ice melt rapidity. But what I don't get a sense of is the understanding of how ice melt affects ordinary people living in the artic circle. Those that work, hunt, observe wildlife etc..
