Subject: I can remember blizzards and frozen conditions in London for weeks on end in the 60's, 70's right up to the early 80's. But I can't remember snow settling much or staying on the ground for more than 48 hours in the last 25 years at least.
In reply to: Hammersmithender 's message, "I can remember a summer in the 60,s in London when it was hot and sunny for 6 weeks continuous. There were other summers when the sun hardly came out at all. Its unpredictable here and always has been. There was a 200 year period during the middle ages when England enjoyed almost semi-tropical weather. You should have taken your holidays in Margate." on Wednesday, July 02, 10:45:50am
