Can't recall a player with such great vision and movement always turning up in the right spot. But he really needs to improve what he does when the ball gets to him. Some slopping passing and poor crossing, and three chances at least one of which he should've tested the keeper, if not scored.

Away from home, in a tight match like that, we needed him to be clinical and he wasn't; ditto Wilson after that incredible ball from Lukic (who was very good today). There was a smash and grab there for the taking.

Anyway, as things stand, we have actually IMPROVED our chances of Europe today, not diminished it. 3 points from 6th now. If Everton and Sunderland fail to win tomorrow, taking into account our home form and run-in, we've got a pretty good shot.

- Undoubtedly based on recent performances it looks like that. But in reality we've never, I don't believe, been this close to 6th in the table at this stage of the season. Even 08/09. That's reads as an absolutely crazy statement, I know. But it is real. Three home games and two aways, including Wolves, left. If Sunderland and Everton fail to win today we have a decent shot.   - In reality in terms of points, but the reality is also we don’t look like scoring goals, we’ve scored in one of our last 6 games and that was against Burnley.     - All facts you stat are true but disagree on the interpretation. We also were looking rubbish right up until the injury and AFCON crisis, and then randomly snapped into a five win, two draw, one defeat run of form. And while the performances have looked rubbish, we have managed two clean sheets away from home in the last four (both draws), alongside a home win and an away defeat to the Champions. In not saying its all rosy. But the bizarrely we're in about a good a position as we've ever been.       - The raw facts yeh, but the context is the oppo, 3 games against bottom 4, 1 champ team, we scored in 1, another against a really poor Liv team who were there for the taking after PSG and we were abject. It’s not all over, but I just can’t see it, we are so low on quality from open play & set piece offensively, we just aren’t hurting teams, probs doesn’t help our games are dull as anything too.
