Subject: With current injury list. Going forward, Chuck right, Sess left Wilson middle with no9. Middle needs both Berg and Lukic if possible. Back line Jedi, Bassey, Diop, Castagne. Leno. Andersen will benefit by being dropped. Wilson does well in the middle for Wales. Chuck is so much better on the right. Iwobi, Tete, Kevin are missed. Bench lists itself.

  • Saturday's game was crying out for the introduction of Harrison, just to add a bit more life to our midfield. The players Marco introduced added little but that should never have been the case. It was a bad day at the office, individually and as a team, with far too many simple passes going astray. I believed beforehand that Jorge and Isa should have been in the team but have to admit that Joa and Calvin did well. The continuing absence of Kenny again was a key factor! • Harrison? What's wrong with Sander Berge? Need to play him with Lukic otherwise midfield is too lightweight and flimsy. (NT) -- Tactician, Monday, April 20, 01:02:09pm (host81-133-110-86.in-addr.btopenworld.com/81.133.110.86)
  • I'm very surprised Reed is your answer here, and a bit surprised the midfield is the target of your dissatisfaction. Lukic and Cairney were probably 2 of our best 3 players, and there was more drive and invention (see the pass for Wilson for example) from Lukic than most of our more creative minded players. Not sure what Reed would have improved (NT) -- Same Old Story, Monday, April 20, 01:09:16pm (NoHost/90.241.79.67)
  • The Arsenal game was the perfect example of how teams play based on instruction. Arsenal, with same personnel, were told to press high, go man to man at times, take some risk without the ball and it led to more chances and being more open at back. Everytime we lose the ball we drop, it’s clear coach instruction, we are prioritising defensive structure, lower risk style, by design from coach, it doesn’t matter what XI is picked, it’s what the coach wants.
